Even if Ryusei wanted to leave right now, he couldn't extricate himself like this. If he let go, to pry Kengo off, Kengo would lose his balance. And he couldn't just leave him here like this—

He had to think clearly. But Kengo's words were worsening his panic. Nothing anyone could do? Obviously there was, if Kengo wasn't like this all the time—

But he was—

No, he wasn't. Think clearly. "Kengo. Kengo, drop onto the bed. I-I have to go get someone—"

Less lightly than he should, he pushed Kengo backwards, a little, just enough, he thought, to make his point clear. Ryusei would have to bolt out after this, make a run—left? right? what direction would the staff have headed?—explain as quickly as possible when he did find someone. But he had to get Kengo to let go. "I'll catch you. Just let go. I'll be back quickly."
